Gunes LTD was established in 1987 with the aim to provide mechanical project planning services as well as installation of heating, cooling, plumbing, piping and mechanical systems. Over the years Gunes LTD has rapidly expanded its services to a comprehensive range to both public and commercial sectors.
Since the beginning of 1990s, when the utilization of natural gas started taking place in Turkey, Gunes LTD has offered services in thousands of residential and commercial natural gas subscription projects. In 1997 Gunes LTD started importing copper tubes and fittings for heating systems and became one of the biggest distributers in the region soon after.
Gold Therm became a trade mark of Gunes LTD in 1999 and was outsourced in the begining for a short time only. The growth rate of the heating sector and the extension of the new business activities of Gunes LTD made it inevitable to become a manufacturer for consistant quality and service. During a fastidious prepatory period, the distribution and sales channels were situated and a very thorough R&D was performed to better understand the user needs. Working hand in hand with some of Europe’s most known equipment/machinery manufacturers and forecasting the market demand well directed the foundation of our production facility. In a short time the manufacturing plant was operating succesfully with the aim to promote quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction day by day.

PRODUCTION
Gold Therm panel radiators are being manufactured with the latest technology on computer controlled workbenches and automated lines at the Hadımkoy, Istanbul production facility since the beginning of 2005.
The manufacturing process start with pressing machines forming the panel and the convector, which are later welded in self-acting workbenches. Then these welds are thoroughly tested for leaks (to a pressure of 10 bar), verifying the integrity of the product. To ensure the highest level of quality, each radiator goes through a two-stage inspection process and is rigorously tested in accordance with TS EN 442-1. During the following steps, radiators visit surface cleaning, iron-phosphate conversion coating and passivation pools respectively ending up in water-based paint pool. Once wet paint is diffused, the radiators travel to the furnace where paint is baked. For the second painting process the radiators pass through a powder paint furnace where Epoxy Polyester Powder Paint is applied by robots. Lastly the finished products are diagnosed carefully for deficiencies before it is packed.
EXPORT
Gold Therm panel radiators have great presence in the local Turkish market, and we are working diligently to promote our products in foreign markets. Based on our evaluation of the world demand of heating products, our export strategy aims to prioritize those where Gold Therm has or can achieve a competitive edge. Exports of our core products categories are pursued in the geographic areas as Eastern Europe, Balkan Countries and Turkic Republics.
